Disciples Women’s Ministries is a conduit for diverse connections empowering each woman to find her voice and live out her call. Our ministry provides opportunities for spiritual growth, enrichment, education and creative ministries to enable women to develop a sense of personal responsibility for the whole mission of the church of Jesus Christ.
Whether through Bible study and growth, through luncheons and encouragement to one another or on a special day away, our hope is to connect women with one another to deepen and strengthen their relationships with our Lord, Jesus Christ, and to find authenticity in relationships with one another.
Our meetings are held on the second Monday of months during the school year.
We come together for fellowship with a lovely light brunch at 9:30 a.m.
and at 10:00 a.m. we get down to business. Our group participates strongly with the Associated Churches Rising Stars program at our partner school, Northcrest Elementary. We collect school supplies, have pen pals, and take soup & cookies to the teachers for Parent/Teacher conference days.
If we see a ministry opportunity, we are at the ready! We have a ministry opportunity on a monthly basis, including Church World Service blanket drive, Flood buckets, Linus Blankets, Angel Dresses, and educating about social justice issues like human trafficking.
The Disciples Women also plan the Ladies’ Tea in the spring and support grieving families in various ways.
