North Christian had its first service on January 1, 1956, at the old YMCA in downtown Fort Wayne.  On Easter Sunday, April 12, 1959, we moved to the first of a three-unit facility at our present Northeast location.  An education wing was added in 1967, the sanctuary in 1974.

The congregation is related to the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in the U.S. and Canada, controlling its own property and calling its own ministers.

While we originally envisioned ourselves as a suburban church, we now find ourselves in the heart of Fort Wayne's commercial corridor.  We embrace the future knowing that many changes will be forthcoming as we continue ministry together.  We would be happy to have you join us in that endeavor.
